Where to go cycling from Peschiera?
01
cycle lane of MINCIO
Borghetto sul Mincio, or simply Borghetto, is a small part of Valeggio sul Mincio. A small jewel with a medieval heart, located between Lake Garda and Verona and recently included in the list of The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. A village built in complete harmony with the Mincio river, where the fragile balance between history and nature has been kept intact over the centuries. Walking through the narrow streets of Borghetto is equivalent to taking a dip into the past, into the Middle Ages. That past that can still be breathed in every single corner of the village.
The Parco Giardino Sigurtà is a 60 hectare nature park located in Valeggio sul Mincio, in the province of Verona, 12 km from Peschiera del Garda. The Sigurtà Garden Park contains naturalistic and historical attractions: in the months of March and April you can admire a million tulips, which they represent the most important flowering in Italy and the richest in Southern Europe; the avenue of roses, which hosts 30,000 remontant roses from May to September; a labyrinth, eighteen mirrors of water, where aquatic plants bloom between June and July, and immense green meadows.
